Key terms you’ll see throughout Gather:

  • Project: a single piece of research with its own objective, audience, and conversation flow.

  • Objective: what you want to learn; the brief that shapes the AI interview.

  • Audience: who you talk to: a Research audience we source for you, your own contacts, a shareable link, or synthetic respondents.

  • Synthetic Research: AI-generated respondents used to pressure-test a study before fielding it to real people.

  • Conversation: one respondent’s interview with the AI, viewable as a full transcript.

  • Primary / Action / Spam: the triage tabs that sort conversations by status.

  • My Brand: your business profile in Configure — who you are, what you sell, your voice, and your visual identity — that Gather uses as context for every project.

  • Locations: the places you operate, registered so research and insights can be organized and compared by site.

  • Blind Mode: running a study unbranded so answers stay unbiased — the default when you want honest market feedback rather than reactions to your brand.

  • Escalation Contacts: the email contacts notified when a conversation needs a human, such as a complaint or a sensitive issue.

  • Insights: the synthesized themes, patterns, and takeaways Gather pulls from across all your conversations.

  • Explore: chatting directly with your collected data to ask follow-up questions and dig into what respondents said.

  • Content Library: where Gather turns your research into assets — reports, social cards, blog & AEO, and ebooks.

  • Recommendations: Gather’s prioritized “what to run next” suggestions, grouped into Customer, Market, and Competitor lanes.

  • Synthetic Personas: brand archetypes Gather builds from completed research — data-grounded profiles you can talk to.
